Jill Gaspar, who is one of our substitute teachers, has been practicing yoga – Jivamukti, Iyengar, Ashtanga and Anusara – for 12 years. A former world champion windsurfer and for eight years a personal trainer at the Reebok Sports Club in New York, she knows how to bring out the best in her students.
While living in New York, Jill completed a one-year teacher training and prenatal yoga training at Yoga Zone and was certified ISHTA under Alan Finger. In 2007, she completed a one-year apprenticeship in Ashtanga Yoga with Cathy Louise Broda in Honolulu.
Jill is a certified Pilates instructor with the PhysicalMind Institute. She taught Pilates and yoga at On Balance Pilates Studio in Kailua, and now teaches at her own studio, Humu Yoga and Pilates.
